A friend posted this in the comments section after reading the C.S. Lewis quote and I loved the simplicity of it:
"Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."
William Morris
That is definitely something I've been trying to live by, especially recently. Isn't it so therapeutic to clean out an area that has just been hanging over your head forever (like the basement, the room in our house I feel like we (and "we", meaning, AJ) organize weekly!)?
I'm using maternity leave as a time to start fresh and reprioritize and reorganize my life. I want to keep life simple so that I can focus on the things that matter. Drewbie just woke up from his nap so I'm going to go snuggle him, but before I go I'm going to leave with you with this great photo of a kitchen because I think it's something beautiful in such a simple and useful way! Martha Stewart just started a line for Home Depot, and AJ and I would love to flip a house and design the kitchen like this...

Have you heard of the book Organized Simplicity by Tsh Oxenreider? I just started reading through it as I really want to live a more simple and clutter free life. I am only a couple chapters in, but It seems really good so far. Very practical.
