paint happy...

For a few months we lived with three different colors on the walls (decision making problems?). On Saturday Drew and I went to Home Depot to pick out paint colors for the Flipper (I've decided on varying shades of grays, more on that in another post) and I came across the most amazing color by Martha Stewart: Driftwood. It perfectly picks up the veining in the marble. I'm in love. ... So much so that I almost went down to the kitchen in the middle of the night just to admire the new paint job.

Here is what the kitchen looked like before Driftwood came along:

And after the fabulous Driftwood came along:

Obviously we aren't completely done... and we'll need additional coats of Driftwood and Ultra Pure White but for now it looks wayyy better. And: isn't AJ doing such a great job framing the windows and building the wainscoting?
What have you done for fun painting projects?

  3. We've really liked Martha Stewart colors...we used "river mist" in our living room and "calabash" in our dining room...those are our favorite! We also have "purple elderberry" in our office and "dusk" in our bedroom...=)
