To My Drew...

Drew-

You are the most fabulous addition to our life… I can’t believe we’ve known you for three months already! It is so fun to walk in to your room in the morning when we hear you making your little “Drew” noises and see your big smile. We love you so much and have been having a blast figuring out how to be a family of three…

I was so nervous when I found out I was having you, Drew. Every fear imaginable came into my head… and I was almost paralyzed with fear in the hospital about stupid things like “what if I hurt him? What if I fall down the stairs and he tumbles with me?”. Those first few days I barely knew how to put clothes on you… you were such a little squirmer (okay, you still are… it takes me 20 minutes to get your dressed each morning). And I started crying during your first bath because I hated that you were crying and I didn’t know why. But Drew, we’ve gotten to know each other and I know what’ll make you cry and what’ll make you laugh. Am I a whiz? Not even close… you are constantly surprising me. But let me tell you this: I will spend as long as it takes to figure you out. You are worth every bit of confusion that I have towards motherhood. It’s funny how much easier it’s been to raise you than I thought it would be… thank you for taking it easy on your clueless mom. As your Grammie says, you are an angel (except when we are trying to eat dinner! :) ).

You are A LOT of work but worth every second. I never want you to forget how much I, and your Daddy, love you… and how much more we love you than the moment we saw you for the first time…

Love,
Your Mommy (aka: the annoying woman who kisses your face constantly… even during diaper changes)

Drew turned three months on Monday… I’m a little behind the eight ball with posts… it’s been a long week.

This photo is from his doctors appt on Monday where we found out he was 14 pounds 14 ounces and that he has eczema. :(

  3. love... there is so much of that for that little bitty man.

ps Cami is the ezcema(sp?) queen, in the sense that she found all sorts of natural ways to help her babes with it
