wednesday loves: #3

I was watching my favorite channel ever, HGTV, and was watching basically the best show ever: Designed to Sell. Sabrina Soto, a home staging expert, will take a buyers home and for under $2000 she will stage it to sell. One of the incredibly useful tips I learned this morning was about a peel and stick roll of stainless steel. So for $20 you can transform the dishwasher on the left to the dishwasher on the right. It was unbelieveable how much the peel and stick finish matched the owners existing stainless appliances.

One of the flowers that I used when I did my friend Abbie's wedding last summer was a Garden Rose. They look very similar to peonies without the steep price tag. The photo was taken from here.

I'm in the middle of this book: Insecurity: You've Been a Bad Friend to Us by Beth Moore and this morning I was underlining so many lines that helped pinpoint either the root of my insecurities or things that I willingly engage in that help them fester (umm... People.com. Yep, there is one website that'll help drive up my insecurity with who I am, what I look like and what I've accomplished). Anyways, it's a great book that is really making me think about the way I should be thinking of myself in a Biblical Godly way... one of the parts that I loved was when she said being insecure isn't being humble. God never designed us to be insecure. He designed us to be secure in His love and the way he made us!

Every time the Ballard Designs catalog comes I have a hard time ripping out my favorite pages... because every page is a favorite page. I can just picture this chair sitting in our newly redone master bedroom... which means, I'll be waiting for you for a while, Beautiful Chair. :)

I found this next fabric in House Beautiful, which of course meant, when I went to the website it was sold out. It was listed as $10.50 / yard in the magazine... a whopping $185 cheaper PER YARD than the silk velvet... you know you have money to burn when you can spend $195 / yard on fabric.

AJ just came over and asked what I was working on, and before I could say anything he said "oh... it's a Wednesday Loves", are you going to put my picture there?" So yes, AJ, I'll humor you, because in honor of our anniversary this week I'll feature you in my Wednesday Loves column. :)

  2. I love that fabric... not the cost, though... but the light blue is wonderful. Also, the pic of AJ in the toolbelt is one of my fav photos of him. Great entry.
