beam ceiling

Now that AJ fairly impulsively ripped out our ceiling, we are sitting on the couch googling photos of beam ceilings. I'm not loving the ripped out exposed look because it doesn't seem to go with the more classic look of the rest of the kitchen, and after looking at these photos I'm even more convinced that just painting our ceiling will just make it look like a glossy white construction site.

I love all of these ceilings because they look so intentional, not like newly painted floor joists and ceiling boards.
