christmas card fever

Are you like me and you basically attack the mailman during Christmas season to see who sent Christmas cards that day? I absolutely love the photo cards we get... I have a bunch of friends who have had kids in the past two years and it's a blast to see adorable new family photos.

I got an idea from one of my favorite blogs to include a list of a highlight from each month so we included that card along with our family photo. Click on the photo to enlarge it and read the highlights. :)

I've been brainstorming a fun way to display photos and looking, and finding, some amazing ideas on Pinterest, but because time doesn't grow on trees I settled for using what I had and freshening it up with a little Christmas spirit. I added some greens to the wreath that I had hanging in our entryway over our mail bin (which honestly we hardly ever use because we throw it on the island with all of our other junk when we walk in the house... I know, you never see photos of that on the blog. :))

I always put the photo cards facing out because they make me smile whenever I look at them.

AJ found this random little wooden box in our attic while doing work on the room. It goes well with the mail theme, wouldn't you say?

I hung a pinecone and a gift tag from a pointsetta that Brian and Jade brought for us last night when they came over for dinner.
