christmas cheer barnatt style (2/12)

We are in our second day of Twelve Days of Christmas and we are visiting Jen Barnatt's gorgeous home. Jen and I went to high school together and she married her high school sweetheart, Mike, and then had three adorable children (I always feel really behind the eight ball when I think that my first is only one... and her house is not a construction zone... :))

She is a photographer for Pink Fish Photography which is why she is a smarty pants and can dream up cute little Christmas photo sessions like this with her daughter (and sidenote, who doesn't love her little red dress):

Let's get started on Jen's Christmas fabulousness... first, she decided to go on the cheap and make these candles. She rolled them in glue and then rolled them again in Martha Stewart's fine glitter. Gotta love Martha, she comes through every time... even when she's sitting in prision teaching woman to knit.

Jen says she loves the way the mercury glass pairs with Restoration Hardware's Silver Sage walls and Pottery Barn's Pub Mirror. I agree. And, Jen, if you ever decide to get rid of that mercury glass put me at the top of the waiting list. :)

I am gaga for keys. Especially skeleton keys. Look at how amazing this looks with her chalkboard that makes it obvious the real reason we are celebrating here...

Jen says the keys were a Home Goods find. I could happily live at that store.

Moving into the vintage Christmas tree... we'll break it down into some of my favorite ornaments:

I like a girl who knows her priorities in her ornaments. Ice-cream sundae, yes please. It's not 6am yet while I'm writing this... doesn't matter. :)

This is from her son, Hunter's, first Christmas in 2003.

Doesn't this just feel like it belongs on our grandparent's Christmas tree while they were growing up? Not in a dowdy way but in a really fabulous vintage way...

Here is a girl after my own heart... with a good collection of glass vases and fun centerpieces. I love the snow with the cinnamon sticks and berries! Okay, and I know we aren't talking Christmas decorations here but look at those curtains peeking out of the left side of the photo... yum.

Here's a great way to make each chair feel special and Christmas-y! It's just cinnamon sticks in glitter with a half bow.

I love a good monogram... and let me tell you, we could never use smaller stockings like that in this family... not when I have a husband who put not one, but two, topiaries in my stocking last year. :)

Jen says that her kids love putting out this nativity set each year.

I just looove this next photo. Jen changes out the prints in her bathroom each season. How fabulous is that?

There we have it... a fabulous Barnatt style Christmas. Thank you, Jen, for letting us (virtually) visit your beautiful home.
