heather = style and fun

Heather is one of my good friends and she has style, friends. Her event planning is fabulous (click here to see pics of her mom's birthday... amazing Dunkin Donuts themed party) and she always manages to look like a million bucks. She had Mason six months before Drew made his grand entrance so she's always giving me advice... She's great and so is her decorating... enjoy visiting Heather and Joe's apartment. :)

Here is Heather, Joe and Mason. Complete adorableness in a photo:

In Heather's own words:
Although I ADORE our apartment, we don’t have a lot of surface area to decorate (no mantle, sofa table, or buffet surfaces). I have two leaning bookshelves from Crate & Barrel, and a photo wall with very minimal space for “enhancements”, but I try to work with what I got. This year, I’m all about red berries! I love these little wreaths and used them everyone because, clearly, when they are hung they don’t take up any surface space!

Exhibit A and B of my C&B shelving units. Not very wide, but I do my best to cram every bit of Christmas that I can onto them! The left is part of my Dickens Village series that I started collecting in junior high. I couldn’t fit it all this year because, well, minimal shelves + active toddler = only being able to use the shelves that are out of his reach!

My trash to treasure claims to fame. A $7 mail holder, dressed up with the scraps of Christmas décor from home and work events. Then, from my exploded glass shower door, a totally glam candle display.

Details! Since large spaces are minimal, I tried to make use of small spaces. How cute is that bird? $3 at the Christmas Tree Shop! Who doesn’t need a cute little bird with a sparkly snow hat? And the little spherical vase was 75 cents at Michaels! (Filled with, you guessed it… shattered shower glass)

A couple shots from a little Christmas gathering I hosted for friends from Gordon College. I got the idea to paint those paper mache reindeer that were all the rage a few years back from Hostess with the Mostess. I think Red and Aqua is my new favorite color scheme!

Thanks for joining Migonis Home, Heather, for Twelve Days of Christmas.
As always, you make me jealous of your skills.... you are fabulously creative. :)
