Remember how I said that one of my goals for the year was to take better photos for the blog? Well, I realized that another one of my goals is to give better focus to the blog. That is still in transition but I'm leaning towards making the most out of small spaces or... our new blog motto:  living large in a small space... after all, utilizing the space we have is one of my goals for 2012 as well.

But did you see the NEW LOOK TO THE BLOG!?! And that is why for the last two hours I have been staring at a computer screen with eyes that are closing and a back that feels like it just wants to lay in bed. What do you think of the new look? What else should I add? I think I'll switch the header up once and a while to keep it fresh.

I needed a break from working on the blog for a few minutes so I researched a 10k (also one of my goals for 2012). AJ was thinking about running the Hyannis Marathon but hasn't had oddles of time to train so I'm going to convince him to do the half while I do the 10k. I've run a half before and the training was a real drag (I'm just being honest). I hated going out for two hours runs because all I thought about for the last hour and a half was everything else I wanted to be doing. I do know my attention span is long enough for a 10k... so today I ran 3 miles by myself (no jogging stroller!) to train. I took a break in the middle to run into True Value before they closed to grab some wood putty. So yes, I did run to the beach and back home with a tub of wood putty. Maybe not quite as weird as running with a giant loaf of French bread or a carton of chicken broth... both of which I have done as well. Yes, I literally run errands. :)

Drew and I went walking yesterday and I love this photo of him because not only is he encased in the most fabulous protective cover that AJ gave me for Christmas (so I can't be a lazy bum and use "it's raining, it's snowing, the wind just blew" as an excuse not to run) but because Drew figured out how to have the bottle balance on his super sized red coat so he didn't have to even lift a finger. Smart baby, if I do say so myself.
