It's a great feeling to get home from a run before 8am. Mostly because I don't dread doing it the rest of the day.
If you are new to the blog normally I do a lot more home makeover / decorating stuff but I started journaling yesterday my exercise and food intake for two weeks and that'll be at the bottom of my regular posts during that week. Why two weeks? That is generally the time it takes to form good habits. I need more discipline in my life so I'm trying to make sure you are holding me accountable. I'm not eating perfectly, you'll see I had pizza and dessert tonight, but I'm just making sure I'm doing stuff in moderation.
Breakfast
Same oatmeal I had yesterday
Lunch
1 piece of homemade chicken pot pie (leftovers from last night)
2pm Snack (after a mile walk with Drew to get him to sleep)
4 animal crackers from Drew's stash
2 eggs with onions and peppers
Dinner at Brian and Susan's house (they have a super fun house from 1895)
Homemade pizza (probably equivalent to 2.5 slices)
1 glass of ginger ale
Salad with spinach, tomatoes and reduced fat feta. Then with a smidge of Trader Joe's amazing Goddess dressing.
Dessert... 1 cupcake Kim made and a scoop of ice-cream. I was lazy and brought a dessert my sister made, is that bad? No. That is a smart use of my time. :)
Water intake
About 72 ounces
Want to humor me and take a look at the little guy who just made AJ and I an aunt and an uncle for the first time? Patrick James... what an adorable little guy he is... I wish I could snag some of that fabulous hair. He was born to AJ's brother, Matt, and his wife Alison yesterday at 2:03pm.

All right, folks, now that I've written this rousing post I'm off to read my new Country Living and Traditional Home. In bed. And yes, it's before 9pm on a Saturday night. :)
Don't you love early morning runs done first thing! laura@imnotatrophywife.com
