This recipe is from my friend Jade's sister in law, Beth Brown. Thanks, Beth!
Combine and let steep*:
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 cloves garlic (i just eyeballed some minced garlic I bought)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (I made my own because we didn't have any, see below)
1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
*The "steeping" thing is pretty important. It tasted fine right after I made it but it was soooo good the next morning... even at 7am. :) We used Garlic Ciabatta bread from Market Basket and it was to. die. for.
Homemade Italian Seasoning... this takes about 25 seconds:
1 tablespoon of basil
1 tablespoon of oregano
1 tablespoon marjoram (I didn't have this and didn't miss it.)
1 tablespoon rosemary
1 tablespoon thyme
Shake it all up and you are good to go! Just use one teaspoon of this mixture for the recipe above and store the rest in an airtight container.
