I started with these three items:
A grapevine wreath I got at Michaels. The cashier had a coupon for 50% off your entire order. Or maybe he just didn't know what he was doing, but either way, I didn't realize how low my bill was till I left the store. I also purchased the moss you see below.
I always ask for Pottery Barn gift cards for my birthday and Christmas so I haven't run out yet of them yet... love that. I got these eggs there, little pricey. $15 for eight. I never would have spent that if I didn't have a gift card but you've seem me use them already on our spring mantle so I figure I'm getting some good use out of them.
After a little hot glue I came up with this:
This wreath didn't take long at all and you definitely don't need to be crafty. I used the moss and just created a blanket under the three eggs. The moss sort of comes in clumps so I just added a little glue under each clump and attached it to the larger "branches" in the wreath. I then decided to glue the eggs together with a tiny little dot of hot glue to give it even more stability.
The wreath has held up really well through numerous opening and closings today as we were working on projects around the house. I'd say this project was a success!
