Lobster Dinner

My mother-in-law's birthday was yesterday and we celebrated with lobster... I wish every night I ate like last night. They are still in town visiting Meredith in the hospital and it's been nice to have them so close... instead of a five hour drive away. Kerry is a chef so it was great to have a night off from cooking... all I had to make was the salad!

Matt and Alison (AJ's brother and his wife) sent us these gorgeous springy flowers as a thank you for hosting them last weekend. I used the runner I made for Drew's first birthday party and just set the table with simple white dishes. I love the classic red lobster crackers, they were off our registry at Williams-Sonoma for our wedding.

Kerry made baked stuffed lobster. And it was stuffed with crab. We were living in luxury last night here, friends. :) You'll see two bowls on the table in the middle of each of the place settings, they were to catch all the leftover shells and whatnot and they were completely filled by the end of the night.

The table was uber simple but it worked for a casual and fun lobster dinner!
And if anyone is curious, Drew isn't into lobster. This works for AJ and me... more for us! :)

I'm off for a run now, I just told AJ the other day that I just feel so much better at the end of the day if I can log at least three miles, so off I go! Ciao!
