Thank You and $5 Box

Thank you for all your encouraging words when I shared about feeling like I would fail the real estate test... I passed. :) Saturday was my big day... I told only a few people when my exam would be because I didn't want everyone texting "did you pass?!?" if I failed. My hands were shaking so badly as I was waiting for my score report to print... To celebrate we went to the amazing Lobster Pool restaurant in Rockport while my parents watch Drew (thanks M & D!!!).

It feels SO good to have the studying done. I used the couple of hours I would have studied on Sunday night and cleaned out an incredibly cluttered closet, inputted the church's offering into Excel (I am the Financial Secretary, sounds more important than it is), and switched around some stuff in the living room. Before I proceed any farther, though, let me show you something that made me happy this weekend before I did any of that... Meredith saw Drew for the first time since her surgery!

Drew was running around playing with Kerry (AJ's step-dad) after lunch on the Mass General Hospital patio.

Now for house stuff! Last Sunday Drew and I took a little trip to the White Elephant Outlet in Essex. It's one of AJ and my favorite places to score deals... like remember when I came home with this table for $5? Or this railing for our  newly opened up stairway (way back over a year ago)? Well, this time I found another fabulous $5 deal, a trunk that was in great condition. I still need to fix some of the nails coming loose, replace a hinge and stain it but it is the perfect replacement for the box holding Drew's toys in the living room. Why? Because it has a top. Now our living room doesn't look like Toys R Us / primary colored land. :)
