Drew with the two loves of his life:
a dog and Curious George
The only thing that is missing is his other love: a car for him to play in.
Mason giving me the cutest smile.
I just love this one...
After Mason went down for a nap and Drew screamed bloody murder when I tried to put him down Heather and I made these delectable treats:
Heather cut the bananas in half, stuck a candy stick in each (these can be bought at a craft store, she got hers at Michaels) and had the bananas frozen overnight lying flat in large bags like you see pictured.
She bought these Candy Melts at Michaels and followed the instructions on the package to melt them... and then added a little more time if she felt like the chocolate needed to be a little more liquidy:
The chocolate came out looking like this, we just tipped the bowl on it's side and rolled 3//4 of the banana in it.
My fave topping was peanut butter chips... because honestly, what the heck is better than peanut butter with chocolate?
You have to move super fast because the chocolate will dry at lightening fast speeds. As soon as you take the banana out of the chocolate roll it in the topping. We used macadamia nuts here.
After we let them dry on this parchmant paper cookie sheet Heather put them back in their original large bags to freeze again. They look good, don't they? Heather texted me to say it was phenom. :)
Enjoy!
