One and a Half

Sweet Baby Drew...
How did you turn one and a half already? How is it that you have gone from your little wobbly first steps at 10 months to basically running laps all day (I used to think you would be a little football player, now that I've seen your speed and endurance for hours at a time I am pretty sure you will be a marathoner like your Dad). You exhaust me but I love this stage...
I love the kisses you are always giving your Dad and me...
I love that you have learned to blow raspberries into my shoulder so I will think you are snuggling but you are just being silly...
I love your obsession with keys and cars and how you point out every car and wave to them on our walks...
I love how we walk around the circle and you touch every reflector in a very OCD / Monk-like style and then wave good-bye to them at the end...
I love how you are (sometimes) cuddly when you wake up from your nap...
I love how fast you inhale pasta and marinara sauce when I make it for your lunch...
I love how you climb on any and everything... Even if it does feel like I'll have heart failure just watching you and letting you be a little climber...
I love how all the ladies in the grocery store know you by name and comment on how big and handsome you are...
I love that you know we pray before dinner and reach out your hands to hold ours, it is such a sweet feeling....
I love how you rescue every snail at Tuck's Point and throw them back in the ocean...
I love that you sleep less on our runs / walks and instead you sit up straight as an arrow watching and taking in everything...
Lastly, Cutie Pie, what I might love more than anything (except for when you run up and kiss and hug me), is the feeling of being loved and needed when you reach up your hand to hold mine. You hand is still so little, and I've just been thinking lately how hard it'll be when you feel like you are too old to do that anymore (I am crying now) and I think of your wedding day, if you do get married, and think what it'll be like to hold your hand on that day when I see you marry someone fabulous. You are so precious and sweet, Drew. You have changed the way your Dad and I look at life and we are blessed beyond belief to have you.
