Wednesday Loves: Fall Goodness

I've started to notice leaves falling already. For some reason, even though I've had 30 years to get accustomed to this, I am always surprised to see leaves on the ground in August... I mean, August is still the middle of summer, right? Mmmmm no. To help soften the blow of chillier weather and the lack of daily beach runs I've put together some of my fave fall decorating ideas.

I love the look of this chippy urn, the Spanish moss and the pumpkin. If you were going for a slightly spooky theme a black urn and a white pumpkin would look great!

Are these monogrammed pumpkins dynamite, or what?

Every single thing about this photo says "fall" to me. don't you love those goblets and the apples piled high around the cider?

Isn't using pumpkins as a serving piece so clever? I just love that unexpected way to add height to a display!

I may have featured this one last year, if so, forgive me, but I just love it! I included the link to the tutorial for how to make it this year.

Tell me, friends, what are you thinking for fall decorating? Anything new and different up your sleeve or do you like the classic mums and orange pumpkins?

On a different note, today has been a great day... my grandmother and sister came over for a late breakfast of Cinnamon French Toast and fruit and I got a bunch of stuff done while Drew napped... including taking a little cat nap myself. :) AJ has gone to the playground with Drew for a little bit so I have the house to myself right now so I think I'll start on dinner, I'm making a great salad from Pioneer Woman tonight!

Happy Wednesday!

  1. Nice pumpkin decorating ideas! Actually, I'm always rather sad to see summer end. The end of summer to me represents my flower gardens all going to sleep, boo! hoo!, and the warm weather gone.

I live in New Brunswick, Canada, and we usually get quite a short summer. I really do need to live in another part of the world, apparently, lol!
