Wednesday Loves: Amazing Kitchen Backsplashes

Happy Wednesday, Friends-

I was thinking this morning about amazing kitchen backsplashes, particularly because the area behind our sink is nearly complete and I am in love with it. AJ has done such a great job with the crown molding... I have attempted to help with the caulking but let's just say that some jobs are probably better left to AJ until I've practiced a bit more... :)

Our backsplash is from Home Depot. The look-a-like tin comes in sheets that are easy to install. Our backsplash probably cost us about $150.

Okay, so let's talk about some fabulous backsplashes that will give you some great eye-candy. How about this rocky one?

Or what about this fabulous colored one:

This trellis backsplash is to die for:

Could this giant slab of marble be any more fabulous or dramatic? Found here.

I love the simplicity of white subway tile... especially when the homeowner does something original like the square of diagonal tiles. Found here.

Lastly, I am loving the drama of this black subway tile... doesn't it make such a statement?

So, friends, I'm leaving next Wednesday Loves topic up to you... What should it be? Tell me in the comments section or on Migonis Home's Facebook page.

Finally, now that Drew is awake after only an hour and a half nap (doesn't he KNOW I need longer than that to recharge from a whiny morning!?!?) I am closing out but not without reminding you to head over to Country Living to vote for Migonis Home.

  1. Beautiful backsplash ideas! That is on our to do list. As far as the short nap, heck, at least he TAKES naps! Our daughter is turning 5 at the end of the month, and she napped for a whole 4 MONTHS of her life! And, for the first 3 weeks of that, I literally had to rock her, WITHOUT a rocker! I actually had to hold her the entire time while moving my arms! She had acid reflux and cried pretty much non stop. Which led to a whiny child. When I finally realized what was going on, I made a new rule. The first sound of a whine I here, she is straight up to her room, and only welcome to come down once she is feeling better. I know I sound tough, but after listening to whining for 4 years, I had had enough.

On that happy (lol!) note, I voted for you again, yay!

  7. The trellis one is so pretty... that is the pattern of the pillows I am filling except they have a bright green and white color scheme.

  8. I am not sure about that second backsplash, lol...Yours is nice, then as to the eye candy ones I like them all but not the rocky one. I'd have nightmares about rocks falling on my head in the kitchen! :)
