You must have thought I dropped off the face of this earth... Not totally. I had my biggest event of the year this past weekend so Thursday and Friday's free moments were soaked up by Scot Trot race prep. Every year I love planning this race, it's my baby... I started it six years ago while I still worked at Gordon and it has grown into a great little race where I see some of the same people each year. Since the race started I've met and married one of the most threatening runners on the Scot Trot course, had a baby, moved into our house and quit my job. It's amazing how in six years your life can dramatically change. Anyway, here's AJ making a fast finish for second place.
Drew has started to just own his play set and AJ set up the leaves at the end so he could just slide right into them...
As you can tell Drew loved that game. :)
Besides the race there is the other reason why I've been MIA... two of my very best girlfriends, Mandi and Sarah were here this weekend. Sarah and her adorable and precious baby Claire are still in our guest room which is why there have been none of the promised photos (and yes, I know I promised them for last Thursday). It was so great to take a break from the blog for wonderful catching up and snuggling of sweet little six-month old Claire... I just love that age. AJ and I think that is when it got so much easier, and more fun, with Drew.
So, I don't have any house projects to share today...
I just have a full heart from a wonderful and successful long weekend!
