Master Bedroom Reveal

After a week of putting some finishing touches on the master bedroom I am revealing our new hardwood floors to you... with the whole room put back together. Like any good project things go in stages; our closet and wall with the sometime-to-be master bathroom isn't completed yet so you'll just have to wait patiently while we work up to that.

Houzz is coming on Monday morning at 8am (it was rescheduled from Sunday because of snow, rain and wind; none of which make for very good outdoor photography).

On Saturday Drew and I went to Market Basket as soon as they opened to stock up on pink tulips for the mantle (you can't really beat the $5 a bunch) and some daffodils for the living room ($1.50 a bunch!). AJ got to sleep in as a major thanks for cranking out a bunch of projects this week on his vacation. I can't be positive but I'm pretty sure he would have rather have been on a beach in Cancun. :)

It's hard to get good shots showing the hardwood floor. They make such a difference; it feels cleaner, happier and really classic.

I gave you a sneak peak of this space last week as I showed off the newly painted closet doors and doorknobs.

This area has to be my favorite of the room. I love the fireplace and the pink tulips and the forced forsythia branches. The silver frames are a hit with Drew because he always wants to look and see himself in the photos.

Lastly, can you see someone who is completely exhausted in the photo below?
Word to the wise: don't try to go crazy on your house when 34 weeks pregnant.. you'll crash with exhaustion by the end. :)

Dress from Gap Maternity.

  6. I absolutely love the dark stain on the floors! Looks so classic :) I also am in love with tulips! I haven't seen any at our grocery store, but you better believe I'll be looking for them tomorrow when I go grocery shopping...they are one of my absolute favorite flowers (next to peonies and daisies). Room looks great! I cannot wait to see the bathroom though! I can't believe you've been doing all this work while 34 weeks pregnant!
