Spring Monogram Moss Wreath

In an effort to give the house a touch of spring before the Houzz photo shoot I am doing some inexpensive updates around the home. Remember this textured monogram wreath that I created at Christmas time?

I updated the monogram letter with some coral paint. I love the color but found after painting our entryway cabinet that color last night I can only take it in small doses. At least for our home… somehow bright fun colors just look better in other people’s home than it does ours.

I’ve been having a little too much fun with the giant bag of faux moss I purchased at Michael’s and made this moss bowl and then now covered the entire front of this grapevine wreath in the moss (thanks to about seven glue gun sticks).

This is the view as soon as you walk in our back door.

What you aren’t seeing in this photo is the complete disaster that lies right on the other side of the camera frame… the island is full of papers we need to go through and either recycle or file. Moss is everywhere and I have countless cans of paint out to do touch-ups everywhere. It looks like a bomb went off in our kitchen. Off to finish painting and then do some cleaning while Drew naps and AJ is doing our taxes… wish me luck! And pray Drew sleeps for his normal-ish two and a half to three hours instead of the hour and a half I got yesterday and the day before.

You know what they say about great minds….I love your wreath! I think my moss wreath will be different enough, but how funny that we both had the same idea! :) Love it!
