I've been itching to give our back entryway a little bit of a makeover. The paint was chipping and it was becoming the drop zone for every random thing. Around the time Houzz came to shoot our house in February I gave our entryway cabinet a coat of coral colored paint. And then hated it. So then I gave it another coat of bright blue paint. It was pretty bad. And then I was at Lowe's recently looking for paint the color of sea glass and came up with this gorgeous color...
I got one of their tester pots for free thanks to a coupon and started to test it out on Friday night but couldn't stop myself... I painted the whole thing in my dress. Not my smartest move but I loved the way the cabinet was turning out and kept moving.
I love how it looks with the bread box on the island, they are almost identical colors.
I repainted the back entryway area Benjamin Moore's Revere Pewter. It was very close to Martha Stewart's Sandpiper which was previously there but I think I like this even better... it's a more interesting color and it looks better with the cabinet than Sandpiper did. The walls are pretty blank but my $30 Thursday project will be filling up the wall directly in front. Any guesses?
I am in the process of deciding what to do above the cabinet so in the meantime I cut some hydrangeas from the bush in our side yard and filled the vases with driftwood.
