This coming Sunday is my last day of the Whole 30 challenge. I’m finding myself rediculously excited for it to be over and really nervous at the same time. I’m one of those people that does so much better at going cold turkey when giving something up, like with this challenge, versus having the discipline to moderate myself. My fibromyalgia aches are considerably better than when I started, although not perfect. I am a thousand times happier with how my stomach looks and feels then when I started. But I’m nervous that because I’m so excited to have a waffle, pizza, an ice-cream cone and a margarita (not all at once!) that I won’t have the discipline I need to 90% of the time make healthy choices. I’ll chat with you more once Whole 30 is over but I’ve definitely learned a lot as far as eating paleo style (which I honestly thought was for health nuts before).
Enough about me. Let’s talk about you. It’s always so fun for me to see your great projects each week at the Enchanting Inspiration party! Thank you for taking the time to link up… I’ve definitely been inspired, and especially this week, left hungry.
It was so hard to choose a cooking post this week because there were so many delicious sounding ones but I decided to hightlight this homemade marshmallow fondant because I’ve wanted to learn how to make my own for oh… forever. And as an added bonus, this one tastes delish. Pop on over to A House Full of Sunshine to read Karen’s post (as an added bonus she’s pretty funny too. :))
This week I’m featuring a bonus recipe. For dogs. I am so not a dog person (they sort of scare me) but Elle is 120% into them and doesn’t care a bit if they lick her face or come right up to her (Drew is a totally different story). I’d love to make this all-natural treat for some of my friends’ dogs, it sounds so easy! See the complete recipe from This Makes That.
If you haven’t see Jamie’s house from So Much Better with Age you’ve got to check her out. I love these beachy things that she just scored at Kirkland’s but even more than that I love her whole house. It’s too bad she’s in Canada, I’d love a real life tour.
Crafts / DIY
You know I love a good makeover and you’ll usually find me using my Country Chic Paints on one but DIY Beautify decided to do a little restoring and refinishing action on the top of her table and it turned out beautifully. The number one tip that I took away from it was to WAIT WAIT WAIT before putting on your polyurethane…. hard to do for an impatient girl like me.
Now it’s your turn to link up and connect… link party goes live at 8pm.
This link party will be similar to many others in that you link up, post a link back or button in your post, and we pick projects to feature. We will each pick different projects from the four categories to feature the following week: Crafts/Home Decor, DIY, Parties and Holidays, and Cooking.
Connect with your hosts:
Add our button or our text link to your post.
Don’t link and leave- check out at least three other posts from the link up! Leaving comments and encouragement is always great, too! Bonus if you mention you found the post at the Enchanting Inspiration Link Party
We’d love for you to follow us on at least one of our social media platforms!
No links to home pages, social media, or other link parties please.
We can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to this week!
