Remember how I introduced you to the charming little cottage my parents bought in Maine? They are making progress on it and it’s starting to really take shape. Literally. the shape is one of the biggest changes now. The addition on the side of the house wasn’t in the greatest condition and my parents really disliked the roof line… here’s the before to jog your memory:
Take note of how much better the roof line looks now. It’s funny, I never focused on it before but now that I see the roof lines coordinate it’s amazing how much more pleasing to the eye it is now. The addition was rebuilt over the existing foundation but now it’s much more secure and safe.
There is not going to be a door on the side front of the house anymore, that has been moved to make the addition more functional for their needs.
The inside of the house is making some progress as well, the kitchen is going to extend into the new addition with a bathroom and the stackable laundry (which will be in a closet).
I can’t wait to keep updating you on the progress of the house!
On a completely different note, tell me what you think would be great to read about during the Twelve Days of Christmas. Do you want to see crafts, home tours, recipes? What would make you excited and inspired? If you are new here I start the Twelve Days of Christmas at the end of November / beginning of December. It chronicles our Christmas prep but I also love to give you fun ideas from others too.
Have a wonderful weekend-
