We are coming up on a year that we’ve been in this house and left our old one. We definitely feel sad still about that house. I wanted to frame a watercolor of our last home to have as a memory and in just the few days of having it sitting in our office it’s been fun to look at it and remember how gorgeous it is at this time of year with the irises and beach roses blooming like crazy.
Here’s how you can do the same in about two minutes:
- Take a photo of your house (you can see our original photo here)
- Open up the app Waterlogue (it costs $2.99)
- Upload the photo of your house and Waterlogue will automatically turn it into a watercolor. It’s really fun to watch the process of it happening, it’ll take about a minute or two.
- Email yourself the watercolor or email it to your printer. I printed mine poster sized at a local college’s print shop on satin paper. It only cost $4.10! You can probably get Staples to do the same, I just don’t know how much it’ll cost.
Easy, right? I’ve used the app for a lot of things since I purchased it a couple of years ago and it has been worth every penny! It’s especially been fun to add in artwork that I’ve made into our house and to have something that looks like an actual watercolor without needing to have the incredible skills it takes to actually paint one.
